Lead the Community Law Clinic at SOURCES as a Lawyer/Manager while providing crucial legal support to vulnerable populations. Make a difference by addressing poverty law issues with compassion and expertise.
As the Lawyer/Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and optimization of the clinic's operations. You will advocate for clients facing legal challenges, manage program staff, and ensure services meet compliance and accreditation standards. Your role will involve collaboration with various community stakeholders to enhance the delivery of legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and represent clients in tribunals
• Manage and supervise program staff and operations
• Engage with community partners to enhance access to justice
• Conduct public legal education and outreach
• Maintain program standards and guidelines
Requirements:
• Active member of the BC Bar with 3+ years of experience
• Experience in administrative law and tribunal work
• Proven advocacy skills for marginalized communities
• Solid communication and organizational abilities
• Must possess a vehicle and valid driver’s license
