Join St. Joseph's Hospital in London, ON as an Infection Control Practitioner. This full time temporary role is focused on enhancing infection control protocols and educating healthcare teams.
Reporting to the Manager of Infection Safety, your primary responsibilities will include developing infection control practices and providing essential coaching to patient care teams on safety initiatives. This role combines education, consultation, and investigations to reduce the transmission of pathogens, ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor infection control strategies
• Educate clinical staff on infection safety practices
• Analyze epidemiological data and conduct audits
• Facilitate outbreak management and containment measures
• Serve as a consultant for infection prevention initiatives
Requirements:
• BSc in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years in Infection Safety or related field
• Current certification with the Certification Board of Infection Control
• Experience in a hospital or public health facility
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
