Ongwanada invites applications for Treatment Counsellors in Kingston and Gananoque, focusing on delivering specialized care to individuals with developmental and mental health challenges. Full time and part-time roles available, with flexible scheduling options.
In this role, you will provide direct support and assistance in a transition treatment home environment. Responsibilities include monitoring behaviors, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with families. Your commitment to health promotion and trauma-informed care will be essential to facilitating positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist persons served with daily living and health needs
• Record and analyze treatment progress and needs
• Develop personalized support and treatment strategies
• Engage in multidisciplinary team planning sessions
• Administer medications safely and effectively
Requirements:
• Degree in Developmental Services, Behavioral Science, or equivalent
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid
• Experience working with behavioral challenges required
• Valid G Driving License necessary for role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
