Lead health preparedness as a Health Emergency Management Planner with the Government of Yukon in beautiful Whitehorse. Play a key role in emergency response and training programs that impact lives.
This full-time term role focuses on creating and executing emergency management plans while engaging in training that strengthens community resilience. You will work closely with stakeholders, including First Nations, to enhance the health sector's readiness for emergencies and ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement response and recovery plans
• Facilitate emergency management training initiatives
• Conduct reviews of emergency management strategies
• Collaborate with various partners for effective planning
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 Duty roster
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in public health or similar field
• Incident Command System Training (ICS 100)
• Experience in project coordination and evaluation
• Robust ability to communicate technical information
• Flexibility to travel as required
