Join Mount Royal University as a Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Advisor. This full-time hybrid position focuses on education and the empowerment of survivors through structured programs.
In your role within the Dating, Domestic and Sexualized Violence Office, you will lead initiatives aimed at raising awareness of gender-based violence. This position suits candidates with a background in social work or gender studies and offers the chance to collaborate on impactful educational strategies. You will provide vital resource development and compassionate support for survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver training sessions to increase awareness and understanding
• Maintain and develop educational materials on gender-based violence
• Coordinate awareness initiatives with campus organizations
• Collaborate with campus support services for survivor assistance
• Stay updated on research and best practices in the field
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields preferred
• 3-5 years in gender-based violence education or advocacy
• Strong skills in communication and program development
• Empathy and sensitivity in diverse environments
• Familiarity with related laws and policies
