Join Threshold Housing Society as a Part-Time Housing Support Worker dedicated to helping at-risk youth find safe shelter and support. This pivotal role operates mainly overnight, ensuring youth have the guidance they need.
You will be responsible for providing crucial support to youth, helping them manage stressors while focusing on their goals. Working closely with a team, you will employ holistic approaches tailored to each youth’s needs, including mental health support and life skills development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the main support for youth overnight
• Assist youth in crisis management and emotional needs
• Help set and track individual goals for youth
• Engage actively in a holistic care workplace
• Provide support through program facilitation and community connections
Requirements:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in social work or youth care
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with at-risk youth
• Training in ASIST and NVCI is a plus
• Certification in Emergency First Aid and Food Safety
• Completed Criminal Record Check
