In your position as part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services, your expertise will aid young clients within the justice system through comprehensive assessments and treatment plans. You will need a Master's degree in a related field, alongside one year of clinical experience, to effectively support youth through individual and group counseling while advocating for diversity and inclusion in your work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer mental health assessments and devise treatment plans
• Facilitate counseling sessions for individuals, families, and groups
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff
• Address youth needs in a community-focused approach
• Achieve BCCSW clinical registration promptly after hire
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related domain
• Relevant clinical experience of at least one year
• A valid class 5 BC Driver’s license without restrictions
• Experience in adolescent forensic populations is advantageous
• International degrees must be assessed for equivalency
