Join Brookes Westshore as a temporary teacher for IB Individuals & Societies and French, focusing on student engagement in grades 6-10. This position promotes inquiry-based learning within a supportive workplace.

This 7-month contract role begins on September 1, 2026, at Brookes Westshore School Society. Applicants will create IB units that meet the BC Curriculum standards, monitor student academics, and provide essential communication regarding student progress. The role fosters personal growth and invites adaptation of teaching resources to meet various learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design IB curriculum units alongside BC Curriculum
• Monitor and support student academic growth regularly
• Evaluate assignments and maintain student records




• Supervise Extended Essays and participate in faculty meetings
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities and lunch supervision

Requirements:
• Current BC teaching certificate or in progress by September 2026
• Bachelor’s degree in education area
• Middle school teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with IB teaching approaches
• First Aid Level 1 certification is advantageous
