Position Title: FP&A; Manager / Consultant Contract Duration: Ideally September 2026 likely end of 2027 (at least 12 months) Salary & Benefits: Consultancy hourly rate Position Status: Current Vacancy Location: Ontario or Eastern Canada - Full Time Hours Work Model: Fully remote We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Consultant, to step into an FP&A; Senior Manager role, for a 12-16 month period, while the organization embarks on an ERP implementation.
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will provide essential leadership and operational support during a temporary coverage period, ensuring continuity across core financial planning and analysis activities.
This role delivers strategic insight to guide organizational decisionmaking, supports budgeting and forecasting cycles, advances financial modelling and operational review work, and contributes to ongoing transformation and processimprovement initiatives.
Responsibilities: Lead and support the annual budgeting cycle by partnering with Operations, Finance Managers, and Corporate Services to develop accurate, achievable financial plans aligned with organizational priorities.
Identify and analyze key business drivers to enhance budgeting efficiency and strengthen ongoing monitoring of operational performance.
Participate in finance and operational review meetings to interpret financial results, explain variances, and provide explicit insights into performance trends.
Build, refine, and document financial models that inform forecasting, program funding assessments, costperunit analysis, and broader decisionmaking needs.
Contribute to longterm forecasting activities,
deferred revenue analysis, proposal costing, ROI evaluations, new revenue stream assessments, and other strategic or ad hoc financial projects.
Recommend enhancements to financial policies, practices, reporting processes, and automation opportunities while ensuring alignment with current financial standards and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Information Systems and corporate services teams to strengthen data availability, improve reporting tools, and support productive, technologyenabled financial processes.
Maintain thorough documentation of key work, open items, models, files, and transition materials to ensure seamless continuity throughout the temporary backfill period.
The ideal candidate is an experienced FP&A; professional with a strong academic foundation in business, accounting, or finance and at least five years of progressive FP&A; experience.
You will bring seniorlevel leadership capability, demonstrated through managing teams or guiding complex financial workstreams, and possess deep technical knowledge of reporting standardsideally gained within a notforprofit environment.
You will excel in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and analytical problemsolving,
supported by advanced Excel skills and a disciplined, structured approach to project management.
You are savvy at communicating complex financial concepts clearly to nonfinancial audiences, drive process improvements and automation, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fastpaced operational setting.
Professional CPA designation, along with experience using ERP systems and reporting tools, further strengthen their ability to deliver immediate value in this temporary fulltime role.
What would make someone stand out: A proven track record of elevating FP&A; functions through automation, streamlined reporting, or redesigned financial models that improve decisionmaking.
Handson experience in a notforprofit or healthservices environment, with strong familiarity in deferred revenue, funding models, and multiprogram costing.
