Role and Facility Information The Division of Geriatric Medicine consists of a team of 11 Geriatricians working across Vancouver Island serving a population of 750,000.

River, the new North Island Hospital is a state of the art facility with an elder-friendly design to meet unique needs of seniors.

The Geriatric service provides clinical support to a robust service including in-patient and out-patient consultation and follow-up. Physicians work with dedicated interdisciplinary teams in most areas, including a geriatric psychiatrist in Campbell River. There are no “on call” duties with attractive remuneration under a clinical service contract.

The Division of Geriatrics is affiliated with the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program, and supports clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)

Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)





Flat fee: $9,242.01

Fee Premium: 6.09%

CME: $2,200/annum year 3-4 and $4,400/annum after 4 years in the community.
