As Aecon's Manager of Indigenous Relations, engage with Indigenous communities to ensure successful project alignment with their values and interests. Drive inclusive practices that empower local stakeholders. This key managerial position reports to the Vice-President of Indigenous Relations and involves developing partnerships with Indigenous groups across Northern regions.
The Manager will advise on critical engagement strategies, oversee compliance with regulatory requirements, and support Indigenous employment initiatives on construction projects.
Your role will be vital in promoting mutual respect and collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop positive relationships with Indigenous leadership
- Advise teams on social and regulatory challenges
- Enhance training initiatives for Indigenous community members
- Ensure inclusion of Indigenous businesses in procurement processes
- Document and report on engagement initiatives Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience engaging with Indigenous communities
- Understanding of Indigenous governance structures
- Robust communication and mediation skills
