Role Description The Restaurant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in The Blue Mountains, ON. This role is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, service standards, and guest experience from opening to closing.
The General
Manager leads and coaches the team, manages hiring and onboarding, supports training and performance feedback, and helps maintain a positive, inclusive work environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial performance, monitoring P&L;, budgeting, and cost controls, as well as ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food quality standards.
The General
Manager also handles guest feedback, resolves service issues, coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and supports local marketing efforts to drive traffic and revenue.
Qualifications
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including P&L; Management and Budgeting.
- Proven ability to drive Customer Satisfaction through excellent Customer Service practices.
- Experience in Hiring, team leadership, and staff development within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role in food and beverage.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and food handling regulations, with a focus on high-quality guest experiences.
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a rapid-paced setting.
- Comfort with using restaurant management systems and basic office software for scheduling, reporting, and inventory control.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
