Sr. SAP BTP Developer to Build & Maintain Custom Cloud Foundry Applications for Automotive Client Location: Toronto (Scarborough), ON (2-3 days/week on-site, additional days for workshops/planning as needed) Type: Contract: September 2026 to March 2027, with potential to extend About the Role Our client, a leading Canadian automotive organization, is looking for a Senior SAP BTP Developer to join their Information Services team. This is a hands-on frontend and BTP development role supporting a portfolio of custom dealer-facing applications built on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry using CAP, Node.js, and SAP UI5/Fiori.
You'll work with an on-site solution architect, functional analysts, and an offshore AMS team and are expected to operate independently and take end-to-end ownership of solutions.
What You'll Do - Design, build, and maintain custom SAP UI5/Fiori and CAP/Node.js applications on BTP Cloud Foundry across modules including VMS, SD, MM, and Warranty & Claims
- Debug and troubleshoot complex, custom-built SAP frontend applications during critical production incidents
- Review AMS team deliverables and ensure adherence to timelines, standards, and best practices
- Build and consume OData/RESTful API integrations and microservices
- Write technical specifications, requirement documents, and unit test plans
- Translate technical capabilities into transparent business terms for non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with functional analysts, project managers, business teams, and AMS offshore teams What We're Looking For Must-Haves - 8+ years of application design and development experience including solid hands-on BTP application development
- Production-grade CAP and Node.js — proven experience building and deploying production applications on BTP Cloud Foundry, not just conceptual or KTT-level exposure
- Deep SAP UI5/Fiori development — architectural patterns, custom UI development and deployment on BTP Cloud Foundry
- BTP Cloud Foundry — hands-on experience with custom apps including knowledge of scopes,
roles, and application security
- Strong SAP frontend debugging skills — able to dissect complex custom-built apps during critical incidents
- OData/RESTful API integrations and microservices architecture
- SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), VS Code, Git Nice-to-Have - SAP BTP IAS/IPS for secure logons/SSO
- Module familiarity: Warranty/Claims, VMS, MM, SD, FI, or Procure to Pay
