Geotechnical Engineer , you will have an exciting chance to work on large-scale, world-class projects covering geotechnical aspects of design, construction and operations applied in our three markets of infrastructure, mining, and oil sands. You will be working on water resources projects including storm ponds and water dams, tailings containment dams, roads, railways, and heavy civil infrastructure. This role will provide you with excellent technical challenges and an opportunity to grow your career as well as contribute to the growth of our Infrastructure team in Calgary.

Manage and work on projects involving terrain analysis, site investigations, instrumentation installation and monitoring, geohazard risk assessment and control, geo-structure and foundation (deep and shallow) design for facilities, retaining structures and bridges, construction management, and review, design, construction and remediation of water retention facilities. Develop your project management skills as you lead design and construction projects. Problem solve and find creative solutions to technical issues.

Travel to project locations, typically in Alberta, but also to other Canadian provinces and international locations.



Have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Have a minimum of 10 years of related experience in municipal, water resources, mining, or transportation market sectors.

Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence as well as your enthusiasm and drive toward long-term success. Demonstrated interpersonal, decision-making and technical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills including your experience in writing proposals, technical reports and general project correspondence.

Time management and organizational skills and ability to lead others to deliver high quality project deliverables on time and within budget.
