Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Style Optical role located in Halifax, NS. The team member will assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that match their style, prescription, and lifestyle needs, while providing product information and guidance on eyewear options.

Responsibilities include performing frame styling consultations, supporting basic pre-testing or customer check-in processes, maintaining store presentation and merchandising of eyewear, and processing sales transactions accurately. The role also involves coordinating with optometrists and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow, delivering consistent,



friendly customer service, and adhering to company policies and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and provide a positive in-store experience.
- Knowledge of eyewear products and fashion styling, with an interest in optical retail, frame selection, and current trends.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain options clearly, work with diverse customers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Organization and attention to detail, including accurate handling of orders, prescriptions (with training), and point-of-sale transactions.
- Ability to work on-site in a busy retail environment, stand for extended periods, and support adaptable scheduling, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Prior experience in optical retail, fashion retail, or healthcare customer service is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using retail systems; additional language skills are beneficial in serving a diverse community.
