Content Bloom is a close-knit international consulting company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We work with Fortune 500 companies to design and implement digital experience solutions using platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud and other modern, composable technologies.
We're looking for a Technical Consultant who is curious, dependable, willing to learn, and enjoys solving problems with others. You don't need to know everything when you join us. What matters is that you ask valuable questions, use the resources around you, work well with others, and take ownership of your work.
What you'll bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus at least one year of professional experience in CMS, web development, or a similar technical environment.
- A mindset that combines software development, business analysis, and testing. You clarify requirements before implementing, make sure they support the underlying business need, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and consider how the solution will be tested and validated.
- Basic working knowledge of relevant development tools, technologies, and practices. Experience with Java, React, Angular, or .NET is an asset.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for coding, business analysis, documentation, research, and communication. You use good judgment to validate AI-generated work, keep it aligned with requirements and context, and prevent low-quality or inaccurate AI output from reaching clients or deliverables.
- Clear and proactive communication, including when working with teammates and clients across different time zones and communication channels.
- Strong listening skills. You seek to understand what people actually need, not just what they ask you to do, while being comfortable sharing ideas and feedback and remaining open to other perspectives.
- The ability to solve routine problems independently by making good use of documentation, books, forums, online research, teammates, and more experienced colleagues.
You know when to keep investigating and when to ask for help.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering reliable, high-quality work.
- A willingness to follow team and client standards and processes while asking questions when you don't understand the reason behind them.
- Genuine curiosity and a willingness to keep developing your technical and consulting skills.
- Authorization to work in Canada & the willingness and ability to travel globally when required.
What you'll do
- Work as part of a collaborative delivery team supporting clients with digital experience projects.
- Help understand client needs, discuss requirements, and turn those needs into practical technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain solutions for digital experience platforms, including reusable and modular web pages, components, and features.
- Work within established design, development, and technical standards set by the team and client.
- Investigate and resolve routine technical issues using available resources before escalating more complex problems.
- Ask questions, share progress, and communicate potential issues early so the team can address them before they become bigger problems.
- Participate in accessibility, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.
- Contribute to technical and functional documentation and help keep project information accurate and up to date.
- Work with experienced consultants and developers to build your ability to handle more complex technical and client challenges.
- Participate in client discussions and meetings, listen actively to their needs, and help the team deliver against them.
- Take part in team and company activities and contribute to a positive, supportive working workplace.
What will help you succeed
- You're proactive. When you encounter a problem, your first instinct is to investigate and look for a solution rather than immediately waiting for someone else to solve it. You're comfortable saying, “I don't know yet, but I'll find out.”
- You care about getting the details right and are willing to learn from documentation, colleagues, clients, and experience. You understand that being a successful consultant means more than having technical skills - it means listening, communicating clearly, understanding client needs, and being someone others can rely on.
- You're comfortable receiving feedback and using it to improve. Most importantly, you're an active participant: you contribute ideas, ask questions, help others, and take responsibility for the quality and reliability of your work.
Bonus points
- A good sense of humor.
- No fear of dogs - this is almost mandatory.
- Enjoyment of pool, ping pong, or outdoor activities.
- A resume that tells a story and shows what you've accomplished.
- An interest in proactively solving problems beyond your immediate area of responsibility.
- A willingness to contribute to shared leadership and help make Content Bloom a better place to work.
Life at Content Bloom

We offer flexible hours, generous time off, performance-based annual bonuses and raises, full health benefits from day one, RRSP matching, and opportunities to travel. You'll also have access to comfortable working spaces, office dogs, social events, excellent coffee, drinks and snacks, and colleagues who genuinely enjoy working together.
If you like learning, solving problems, working with people, and building things that matter, we'd love to meet you.
