Job Title: Landscape Construction Labourer (Team Member) Company: Carruthers Landscaping Location: Yard in Burlington, ON, with jobs located across the GTA Job Summary: Carruthers Landscaping is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Landscape Construction Labourers (Team Members). As a Landscape Construction Labourer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the construction of various landscape projects, including patios, walkways, fences, decks, pergolas, hardscape features, and gardens. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a energetic outdoor environment, contributing to the creation of unique and beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients. Responsibilities: 1. Assist in Landscape Construction: Work under the guidance of experienced team members to assist in the construction of landscape projects from start to finish. Tasks may include: • Transporting materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and hand lifting. • Digging holes and trenches for installation of various features. • Setting up and dismantling construction equipment and tools as needed. • Assisting with the installation of hardscape and softscape elements according to project specifications. 2. Maintain Clean and Safe Work Environment: • Clean and tidy job sites on a daily basis to ensure a safe and organized work environment. • Properly store tools and equipment at the end of each workday to prevent accidents and damage.



• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety among team members. 3. Client Interaction: • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients on job sites. • Address client inquiries or concerns in a timely and respectful manner, escalating issues to the Landscape Foreman or Project Manager as needed. 4. Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest quality standards. • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications: • Strong work ethic and self-motivation. • Positive attitude with excellent organizational, communication, and punctuality skills. • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks. • Physically capable of heavy lifting (50+ lbs), wheelbarrowing, and performing repetitive tasks. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract is an asset. • Previous experience in the landscape industry is an asset but not required. • Must have reliable transportation to our yard location in Burlington.
