Student / Recent Graduate Opportunity | Remote | Portfolio Building Are you studying Video Editing, Film, Digital Media, Content Creation, or a related field? Maybe you’ve recently graduated and keep running into the same problem: “Everyone wants experience… but how am I supposed to get experience if nobody gives me a chance?” We might be that chance. We’re looking for a creative and motivated Junior Social Media Video Editor who wants to gain real-world experience while working alongside two experienced content creators. Our focus is short-form social media content. You’ll help us take raw footage and longer-form content and turn it into entertaining, engaging videos designed primarily for TikTok and YouTube Shorts. What You’ll Be Editing Most projects will be approximately 1–2 minutes in length and designed specifically for short-form social media. Content will include: * TikTok videos * YouTube Shorts * Social media highlights * Promotional clips * Highlights created from longer-form videos * Other short-form social content You’ll have the opportunity to take footage and add your own creative touch through editing, pacing, captions, transitions, graphics, music, sound effects, and more. Skills We’re Looking For We’re specifically looking for someone interested in social media and short-form video editing. You should have experience with, or be actively learning: * Editing content specifically for TikTok and YouTube Shorts * Turning raw or longer-form footage into engaging 1–2 minute videos * Creating strong openings and hooks that grab attention * Fast-paced,
engaging cuts * Clean transitions * Adding on-screen captions and subtitles * Syncing edits and transitions with music or audio * Using graphics, zooms, sound effects, and other creative elements * Editing vertical 9:16 content * Understanding the pacing and style of modern social-media videos * Finding entertaining, funny, exciting, or interesting moments within longer footage * Using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software You don’t need to be an expert in everything above. We’re looking for someone who understands the fundamentals, has a creative eye, and genuinely wants to improve. Who We’re Looking For This prospect would be a great fit for: * Current college or university students * Recent graduates * Students studying video production, film, digital media, or a related field * Self-taught editors looking to gain real-world experience * Aspiring content creators who enjoy the editing side of social media * Someone looking to strengthen their résumé and portfolio * Someone creative, dependable, and open to feedback Years of professional experience are NOT required. School projects, personal projects, gaming edits, TikToks, YouTube videos, or other examples of your editing are completely welcome.
We’re much more interested in seeing your creativity and potential than an impressive list of previous employers. The Opportunity We want to be completely transparent: This is currently an unpaid, portfolio-building opportunity. We’re a growing organization, and at this stage, the money we generate is being reinvested directly back into building the business, improving our content, and expanding our audience. We’re looking for someone interested in getting involved at the ground level and potentially becoming a long-term part of what we’re building. As the organization becomes more established and financially successful, our goal is to introduce paid opportunities and financially reward the people who have helped us build and grow. Interested? Send us a quick introduction and tell us: 1. A little about yourself and what you’re currently studying or recently graduated from 2. What video-editing software you use 3. What type of content you enjoy editing 4. A few examples of your work, if you have them Don’t have a solid portfolio yet? That’s not a problem — that’s what we’re here for. Working alongside our content creators will give you the opportunity to build your portfolio with real-world content, sharpen your short-form editing skills, gain hands-on experience, and create work you can showcase as you move forward in your career. We’re not looking for someone with ten years of experience. We’re looking for someone with creativity, potential, and a willingness to learn. As we grow, you grow.
