Duties and Responsibilities:
This role for Ingersoll Rand's Industrial Technologies and Services Division supervises and leads warehouse staff, oversees daily operations, and verifies order accuracy before shipment. They manage incoming customer requests to increase sales of compressed air products, services, and parts.
- Assist customers with parts identification and generate quotes for smooth and timely order processing.
- Direct and oversee the loading/unloading of trucks, inventory receiving and labeling, packing and shipping products,
and adjusting and moving products for service and sales.
- Manage inventory levels effectively to support service and sales operations, ensuring a seamless and accurate order fulfillment process.
- Implement strategies to enhance picking efficiency, optimize storage locations, and streamline warehouse inventory management.
- Issue all materials according to picklists and monitor outstanding picklists.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and timely execution.
- Coordinate with the claims department to address damages, shortages, overages, and returns of incoming compressors and parts.
- Plan and direct the installation, maintenance and repair of the warehouse docks, facility machinery, equipment, and both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety
- Plan and manage the procurement of warehouse supplies to ensure consistent availability and efficient operations
- Communicate with drivers and couriers to facilitate efficient incoming product delivery and outgoing shipments
- Maintain daily log reports to ensure precise and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- Post-Secondary certificate in Supply Chain Management or a related field
Work Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, inventory management or supply chain management
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead-hand experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing environment
- Inventory control experience with shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, material handling and warehouse organization
- Experience using warehouse management systems and computerized inventory systems
- Experience with inventory audits, cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
- Experience preparing reports, maintaining records and using data to improve warehouse efficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel
