DelGate Logistics is a growing Canadian 3PL specializing in warehousing, fulfillment, freight transportation, transloading, and big-and-bulky final-mile delivery. We operate facilities in Vancouver, Kelowna, and the Greater Toronto Area and coordinate shipments throughout Canada and the United States.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Freight Operations Coordinator who can take ownership of shipments from booking through final delivery.

This is a mid-level position requiring direct experience in Canadian transportation, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate LTL, FTL, drayage, intermodal, cross-border, and local deliveries.
- Obtain and compare carrier rates while protecting service quality and profitability.
- Book shipments with carriers and confirm pickup and delivery appointments.
- Prepare and review bills of lading, shipping labels, delivery instructions, and other freight documentation.
- Track shipments from pickup through delivery and proactively communicate updates.
- Coordinate inbound containers, transloading projects, warehouse transfers, and outbound freight.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, warehouses, and internal departments.
- Identify delays or service issues early and take ownership of resolving them.
- Collect PODs and ensure shipment records, costs, and tracking information are updated accurately.
- Review carrier invoices and investigate discrepancies, accessorial charges, and unexpected costs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests by email and phone.
- Support high-volume operations and prioritize urgent shipments without losing attention to detail.

Required Qualifications




- Minimum three years of experience in Canadian freight, transportation, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations.
- Robust working knowledge of LTL and FTL transportation.
- Experience booking shipments and communicating directly with carriers and customers.
- Understanding of BOLs, PODs, PRO numbers, appointments, accessorial charges, and freight claims.
- Strong computer skills and experience using transportation, warehouse, CRM, or order-management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple active shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accuracy and personal accountability.

Preferred Experience
- Cross-border Canada–U.S. transportation.
- Drayage, container, transloading, or intermodal operations.
- Freight rate negotiation and carrier sourcing.
- Warehousing, fulfillment, or last-mile delivery.
- Customer account management.
- TMS, WMS, load boards, or freight-rating platforms.
