Role Description Currently hiring an Accounting Technician for a full time role based out of our Airdrie office. In this position, the team member will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledgers for small business clients. The role includes preparing working papers and supporting schedules for financial statements, assisting with year-end processes, and maintaining organized client files.
The Accounting
Technician will use cloud-based accounting software to process entries,
manage accounts payable and receivable, and support tax filing and compliance activities. Collaboration with senior accountants and regular communication with clients are expected to ensure timely, accurate information and a smooth service experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Bookkeeping and Financial Statements skills for accurate recording and reporting of client finances.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with Accounting Software and related digital tools used for cloud-based bookkeeping and tax workflows.
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a client-focused approach to working with small business owners and internal team members.
- Experience in a public accounting or small business environment is an asset; familiarity with Canadian tax and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
