· 15 hours per week; 3:00pm to 6:00pm; Monday to Friday, all school days.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during after-school hours. This includes monitoring their activities and behavior to maintain a safe environment.
- Activity Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement engaging educational and recreational activities that promote learning and personal growth. This may include arts and crafts, sports, homework assistance, and leadership development.
- Communication with Parents and Staff: Maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any issues that arise. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive program.
- Program Development: Assist in the creation and evaluation of program curricula to meet the needs and interests of the children. This includes adapting activities based on feedback and assessments.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. This includes maintaining a clean and organized environment and following health and safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and program evaluations to track the effectiveness of the program and ensure accountability.
REQUIREMENTS: · At least 19 years of age
· Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
· Reliable transportation a must. Would prefer person have own vehicle. School positions available only on east side of Saskatoon
SKILLS:
- Experience with Children: Prior experience working with school-age children is often required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and implement activities effectively while managing time and resources efficiently.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate children and staff, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
