Position Title
Applied Research Technician II: Computer Programming (Para sport)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative student for a computer programming intern position. As a Computer Programming Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experts at CIM-TAC on various projects aimed at pushing the boundaries of innovation in technology and product design, particularly within the Para sport innovation landscape.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the VR platform, including interactive features and realistic simulations tailored to parasport scenarios.
- Skills Gained: Advanced programming in VR environments, problem-solving in user-focused design, and collaboration with domain experts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from (within 1 year), a Computer Programming diploma or degree program, or similar.
- Strong understanding of programming and software development concepts, including game design.
- Proven strong work ethic, attendance record and productivity in an independent work environment demonstrated through previous employment, education, or volunteer experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for innovation and eagerness to learn about emerging technologies in manufacturing, design,
game development and instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicants should have experience with VR platforms or a strong interest in self-directed learning.
- Familiarity with VR development environments (specifically MetaQuest).

$22.18 per hour
Benefits and Compensation Information An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and advantages.
