Overview

Artisan SakeMaker, established on Granville Island in June 2006, is seeking an individual to join our team and increase production volumes. In June 2025, we expanded the retail and lounge area next to our production area.

The candidate must be interested in food and beverage production and have a minimum of two years' production experience. Knowledge of fermentation and sake in general is essential. Our production system is entirely manual and requires close attention to detail.

Summary of taska

- Follow instructions and complete the sake production process from milling/washing rice, koji making, pressing and packaging.
- Apply basic math skills for measuring ingredients, counting units, and verifying quantities during production processes
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to packaging, sanitation, and quality checks
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and suggest improvements for efficiency

Skills

- Familiarity with food industry regulations and food safety practices




- Mechanical aptitude for understanding basic system used in temperature controll
- Strong attention to detail for sanitation, quality control, and record keeping
- Basic math skills for measurements, inventory counts, and calculations
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and adherence to safety protocols
