Maple Leaf Strategies is seeking a motivated Associate to join our Ottawa team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in government, public policy, politics, and strategic communications.

The Associate will support our government relations team in delivering high-quality advice, research, monitoring, and client service.

Responsibilities

- Monitor federal political, policy, legislative, and regulatory developments
- Conduct research and prepare briefing materials, backgrounders, and client updates
- Support the development and execution of government relations strategies
- Assist with meeting preparation, stakeholder engagement, and client deliverables
- Track parliamentary committees, government announcements, and emerging public policy issues
- Provide day-to-day support to senior members of the team

Qualifications





- University or college degree in political science, public policy, communications, business, or a related field
- Strong interest in Canadian politics, government, and public policy
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, collaborative, and eager to learn
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset

Previous government, political, public affairs, or government relations experience is considered an asset, but is not required.
