We are looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Test Engineer to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright to develop automation framework modernization initiatives for our banking clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automated testing and close collaboration with development teams.

Role responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust Playwright-based automation frameworks for web applications.
- Create robust automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components.
- Conduct comprehensive API testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Apply your understanding of Generative AI platforms to test AI-driven features or utilize AI tools to optimize the testing lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and quality metrics.

Required skills

- Overall 5-8 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar automation testing role.
- Must have 2+ years of strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Minimum 4 years of Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).




- Must have hands-on experience in API testing and Proficiency in using Rest Assured for API automation testing.
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, test design patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD integration tools and practices.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Should be an individual Contributor with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred skills

- Experience in Banking Domain.
- GitHub Copilot experience is highly preferred.
