Role Description The Automotive Wholesale Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC. This position is responsible for evaluating and appraising pre-owned vehicles, determining fair wholesale values, and negotiating purchases that align with the company’s inventory and profit objectives. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles for condition and history, reviewing market data and pricing trends, collaborating with appraisers and sales staff, and maintaining accurate purchase records.

Buyer also builds and manages relationships with individual sellers and industry partners, ensures transactions are completed efficiently and transparently, and supports overall inventory quality and turnover.

Qualifications

- Experience in automotive appraisal, vehicle inspection, and wholesale purchasing, with strong knowledge of the pre-owned vehicle market.
- Proficiency in analyzing pricing trends, market data, and vehicle valuation tools to support informed buying decisions.
- Robust negotiation, communication, and customer service skills to build trust and close fair, mutually beneficial deals.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, manage purchase documentation, and work effectively with internal teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to transparent and professional conduct.
- Previous experience in automotive retail, wholesale, or dealership operations is an asset.
