Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance needs are addressed.
- Secure freight properly for transit to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to ensure vehicle readiness.
Requirements
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy equipment operation.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other loading machinery.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency.
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads, operate machinery, and work in various weather conditions.
