Azure Platform Engineer – Azure Landing Zones, Terraform, Ansible & DevOps

Location: 100% Remote

We are seeking a hands-on Azure Platform Engineer responsible for implementing, automating, and operating Azure Landing Zone services. The engineer will build and maintain cloud platform capabilities, automate governance controls, monitor compliance exceptions, and support the onboarding of acquired organizations into the enterprise Azure workplace.

The ideal candidate must possess strong Azure and automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, Azure-native services, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Platform Deployment

- Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
- Implement enterprise Landing Zone standards and controls.
- Provision subscriptions, networking, monitoring, and governance components.

Infrastructure Automation

- Develop and maintain Terraform modules.
- Create automation workflows using:
- Ansible
- Azure Automation
- Azure Functions
- Eliminate manual operational activities through automation.

Governance & Compliance

- Deploy and maintain Azure Policies.
- Monitor policy compliance and non-compliant resources.
- Implement automated remediation activities.
- Support exception management processes.

Monitoring & Observability

- Configure:
- Azure Monitor
- Log Analytics
- Azure Alerts




- Create dashboards and compliance reporting solutions.

CI/CD Enablement

- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines.
- Implement Terraform validation and deployment workflows.
- Integrate security and compliance checks into deployment pipelines.

Operational Support

- Troubleshoot platform incidents and performance issues.
- Support onboarding of new acquired business units.
- Resolve compliance and governance-related findings.
- Perform configuration drift analysis and remediation.

Preferred Qualifications
