Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Solutions Developer IV to join a team responsible for building and supporting scalable data solutions and processing platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, Akka/Pekko, SQL, and data modeling .

This role is well suited for a senior developer who enjoys working with large datasets, building high-performance data pipelines, and solving complex data-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions and applications.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for large-scale data processing, transformation, and aggregation.
- Develop solutions using Scala, Spark, and Akka/Pekko .
- Write complex SQL queries and work with relational and non-relational databases.
- Develop and maintain data models and support data warehousing initiatives.
- Analyze and troubleshoot data issues to ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Identify performance issues and implement improvements to existing data solutions.
- Follow data security, privacy, and governance standards.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements across the team's data platforms and development practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8–10 years of overall software/data development experience.




- 5+ years of Scala development experience.
- 2–3 years of Akka or Pekko experience.
- 5–8 years of Spark / Big Data experience.
- Strong SQL development experience.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing .
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines and large-scale processing systems .
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Python or Java is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

- Databricks experience.
- Databricks, Spark, or Scala certification.
- Financial services or banking experience.

Interview Process

- Round 1: Virtual technical interview
- Round 2: In-person behavioral/technical interview
- A technical assessment may be required following the first interview
