We are looking for a casual Food Porter for the Mayfield Dinner Theatre to join our culinary team where exceptional guest experiences begin with efficiency, presentation, and teamwork.

Shifts are Tuesday to Sunday 4 pm to 9 pm. Shifts are also available Wednesday and Sunday mornings 8 am - 1 pm.

Overview

Our Food Porters ensure buffets are well-prepared, stocked, and maintained throughout service, helping deliver a smooth, enjoyable evening for every guest. What You’ll Do

- Set up, replenish, and tear down buffet stations with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Rotate buffet items to maintain freshness, quality, and presentation.
- Keep buffet areas tidy, clean, and free from spills or debris.
- Monitor service flow, adjusting stock and presentation during peak and slow periods.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about stock levels and service needs.
- Adhere to hotel policies, grooming standards, and attendance expectations.
- Report any issues or unusual matters promptly to a supervisor.
- Support coworkers with additional tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Consistently project a favorable image of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts to guests and the public.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by leadership.

What You Bring

- Energetic, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Previous customer service experience an asset.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

- Active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and carrying chafing dishes.

Experience:
- Food & Beverage Support: 1 year (preferred)
