About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Counterparty Credit Risk / Credit Risk experience to join a banking project in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have 5–6+ years of Business Analysis experience, strong banking knowledge, and experience with credit exposure measurement, regulatory reporting, data mapping, SQL, and systems implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand counterparty credit exposure across various banking products and transactions.
- Analyze and map source data to internal monitoring and regulatory reports.
- Support Large Exposure Framework (LEF) and Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) reporting.
- Create business requirements, reporting specifications, and data mapping logic.
- Perform data gap analysis across systems, processes, and procedures.
- Work closely with developers and QA teams to communicate requirements.
- Plan and coordinate UAT, testing, implementation, and migration activities.
- Work with product attributes from Lending, Facilities, Securities, Finance Transactions, Derivatives, and other banking products.
- Support concepts such as CDS, SFT, derivatives, guarantees, LC fronting, and risk shifting.
- Identify opportunities for process reengineering and improvement.
- Prepare project documentation and provide user training/support as required.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues,
and dependencies to project leadership and senior management.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–6+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong experience with Counterparty Credit Risk / Credit Exposure.
- Experience with regulatory reporting, credit risk, or risk management projects.
- Experience in systems implementation, process improvement, or systems reengineering.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on SQL experience with technologies such as Hive, MS SQL Server, Teradata, HUE, or Dremio.
- Experience creating data mapping, business requirements, and functional specifications.
- Strong experience with UAT, QA coordination, testing, and production implementation.
- Solid analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and MS Access.
