About the Companies

BMAC Technologies & Consulting Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm based in British Columbia, providing energy advising, building science, mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression system design services. RNL Consultant is our sister company operating in the United States, providing complementary consulting services, including BIM coordination for large-scale projects, and supporting the expansion of our capabilities and client relationships in the US market.

Together, BMAC and RNL provide an opportunity to work across two markets and support clients, partners, and projects in both Canada and the United States.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and commercially minded Business Development Representative to work closely with the Business Development Manager and support sales and marketing activities across both BMAC and RNL Consultant.

This is a unique cross-border role. You will help coordinate opportunities between the Canadian and US businesses, support client and prospect engagement, assist with proposals and RFPs, maintain business development systems, contribute to marketing initiatives, and help ensure opportunities move efficiently from initial contact through proposal and follow-up.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn how professional services businesses grow, is comfortable communicating with clients and senior professionals, can contribute creative ideas, and can eventually take ownership of meaningful parts of the business development and marketing process.

Key Responsibilities

· Support business development activities for both BMAC and RNL Consultant across Canadian and US markets.

· Research and identify prospective clients, including property management companies, developers, public-sector opportunities, architects, contractors, building owners, and other organizations.

· Build and maintain prospect lists and CRM records, ensuring contacts, opportunities, proposal statuses, and follow-ups are current.

· Conduct and coordinate outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels.

· Track leads and opportunities from initial prospecting through meetings, proposals, follow-ups, and award.

· Assist with preparing proposals, fee submissions, RFP responses,

qualification packages, and other business development documents.

· Coordinate internally with engineering, project management, and leadership teams to collect information required for proposals and client requests.

· Monitor procurement portals, RFP opportunities, tenders, and other potential business opportunities in Canada and the US.

· Coordinate client meetings, introductory calls, site visits, networking activities, lunches, trade shows, and industry events.

· Help plan and organize BMAC and RNL marketing and client events, including logistics, invitations, communications, materials, and post-event follow-up.

· Assist with the development and coordination of marketing materials, presentations, brochures, capability statements, social media content, email campaigns, and other promotional materials.

· Help maintain a consistent and professional brand presence across BMAC and RNL, including client-facing materials and digital channels.

· Prepare meeting materials, presentations, follow-up communications, and other client-facing content.

· Support reporting and analysis of pipeline activity, proposal performance, outreach activity, marketing activity, and business development results.

· Identify opportunities to improve CRM processes, proposal workflows, templates, reporting, automation, marketing processes, and overall BD efficiency.

· Assist with cross-border coordination when opportunities involve both organizations or require collaboration between Canadian and US teams.

What We're Looking For

· 1–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, project coordination, administration, or a related role.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence communicating with clients and professionals.

· Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, deadlines, events,

and follow-ups.

· A proactive, self-directed mindset—you see what needs to be done and take action without waiting to be asked.

· Comfort communicating professionally by email, phone, video conference, LinkedIn, and in person.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Comfort working with CRM systems, spreadsheets, online research tools, digital platforms, and social media; experience with automation or marketing tools is an asset.

· Strong interest in marketing, event coordination and client engagement.

· Ability to understand technical or skilled services information and communicate it clearly to clients.

· Professional judgment, creativity, and adaptability when working across different clients, industries, and business environments.

· A degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, engineering, construction, or a related field is an asset.

· Experience working with Canadian and/or US businesses, construction, engineering, real estate, or professional services is an asset.

What You'll Gain

· Direct mentorship from an experienced senior team.

· Hands-on experience with business development, sales strategy, marketing, event management, and client relationship management.

· Exposure to both Canadian and US professional services and real estate markets.

· Opportunities to attend industry events, meet senior professionals, and build a strong North American business network.

· Experience working at the intersection of engineering, construction, real estate, marketing, and consulting.

· The opportunity to grow into a broader business development, marketing, account management, or commercial role.

The Person We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is curious, ambitious, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You should enjoy speaking with people, researching opportunities, organizing information, coordinating events, creating and improving marketing materials, and turning ideas into action. You don't need to know everything about engineering or consulting on day one—we care more about your ability to learn quickly, communicate well, stay organized, bring new ideas, and take ownership.
