What will your typical day look like?

As the Business Process & System Improvement Specialist, you will work within Strategy & Operations to help turn business priorities into execution. This is a high-ownership generalist role at the intersection of strategy, operations, process, data, and technology.

Some assignments will be clearly defined. Others may begin with little more than "there has to be a better way to do this." You will help understand the problem, bring structure to it, and turn that thinking into a better process, clearer operating model, useful insight, automation, business-system improvement, or internal tool.

Specifically, you will be responsible for

Business Process and Continuous Improvement

1. Drive and support cross-functional improvement initiatives from discovery through implementation partnering with teams across the business, including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and other functions.
2. Interview users, observe workflows, map current-state processes, identify root causes and control gaps, and define clear requirements.
3. Design practical future-state processes with clear roles, handoffs, decision points, controls, and success measures.
4. Use feedback and operating results to refine processes and systems after launch.

Business Systems and ERP

1. Support ERP, CRM, and other business-system work through process design, data preparation and validation, workflow configuration support, reporting, testing, and documentation.
2. Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories or acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and clearly documented decisions.
3. Investigate process, system, and data issues; isolate likely root causes; document findings; and coordinate practical fixes with business and technical stakeholders.
4. Help plan and execute user acceptance testing, rollout, training, and post-launch follow-through.

Data,



Automation, and Internal Tools

1. Use SQL, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to explore, reconcile, validate, and communicate data so teams can make better decisions.
2. Identify opportunities to simplify or automate work using scripting, APIs, integrations, workflow tools, and AI-assisted development.
3. Help build and improve dashboards, operational reports, databases, workflows, and lightweight internal applications.
4. Understand how information moves between people and systems, identify failure points, and introduce appropriate validation and controls.

Project Delivery and Ownership

1. Support strategic projects through research, analysis, project structure, requirements gathering, testing, rollout, and follow-through.
2. Keep actions, decisions, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications organized and moving forward.
3. As you build context, take ownership of smaller projects end to end and proactively identify opportunities where Strategy & Operations can make an impact.

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You For a candidate to be successful in this role, the key qualifications include:

- 0-2 years of experience in business process improvement, business analysis, systems implementation, supply chain & operations, data analysis, automation, consulting or a related field is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree, Masters, or other post-secondary education in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Technology, Information Systems, Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience analyzing and mapping business processes, gathering requirements,



identifying root causes and process gaps, and documenting current-state and future-state workflows.
- Experience supporting the implementation or improvement of ERP, CRM, workflow, or other business systems, including activities such as data preparation and validation, workflow configuration, reporting, testing, user acceptance testing, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience using Python, JavaScript, or another scripting language to transform data, automate workflows, connect systems, or build lightweight tools or applications.
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control tools, development/test/production environments, software release practices, or CI/CD concepts would be an asset.
