The Child Care
Worker is tasked with the care and supervision of youth in a staffed setting, focusing on their development and emotional well-being. Duties include preparing meals, engaging in meaningful activities, recording progress, and providing necessary transportation. You will apply your skills in crisis intervention and relationship building to enhance each youth’s potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support youth in the home setting
- Plan and prepare meals fostering healthy habits
- Maintain documentation on youth's needs and achievements
- Assist with transportation for appointments and activities
- Support daily living tasks and personal development goals Requirements:
- Diploma in Child & Youth Care, SSW, or related field
- 1-2 years of working with at-risk youth
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and trauma-informed care
- Valid Driver’s License with appropriate insurance
- Clear background checks and medical fitness Foster positive life outcomes for youth as a caring Child Care Worker.
