We are currently hiring a Civil Drafting Engineer - Telecommunications for our consulting client, working on a long term contract with a Canadian Federal Government Entity

Role: Civil Drafting Engineer - Telecommunications

Industry: Telecom

Rate Range: $65-70/hr as Incorporated Contractor (37.5 hrs /week) - some flexibility on final rate can be made for senior level candidates

Duration: 12 months + extensions

Location: Remote - Montreal, QC Canada

Key Requirements: Professional Engineering designation or eligibility/registration with the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ) is required.

Role Descriptions:

- Develop and modify technical drawings for telecom network projects including site plans, schematics, construction details, and installation layouts.
- Prepare complete construction documentation packages required for implementation and field execution.
- Draft installation packages for 5G upgrades, rooftop designs, tower modifications, and related telecom infrastructure work.
- Prepare structural detailing drawings, including foundation details, tower reinforcing,



and related civil/structural components.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate drawing records, revisions, documentation logs, and project-related information. Support quality control activities by validating design inputs, markups, revisions, and final drawing deliverables.

Essential Skills: 6-8 years of experience in a civil drafting, structural drafting| or telecom infrastructure drafting role. Skilled Engineering designation or eligibility/registration with the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ) is required.

- French language proficiency is mandatory, including both written and verbal communication. Strong experience preparing telecom construction drawings and installation packages.
- Solid understanding of civil/structural drafting practices, telecom site layouts, rooftop installations, tower reinforcement, and foundation detailing.
