About the role

K Cleaning connects clients across the Fraser Valley with skilled independent cleaners. We handle the client side — booking, scheduling, communication, and payment. You handle the cleaning.

This is an independent contractor position, not employment. You run your own cleaning . We send you work.

What you will be doing

You will be assigned jobs from four service types. You can choose which types you want to take:

1. Residential homes

- Recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cleans
- Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, floors
- Consistency matters most — the same client sees your work every time

2. Airbnb / short-term rental turnovers

- Tight turnaround windows between guests
- Full clean, linen change, bed making, restocking supplies
- Photos of the finished unit required before you leave
- Report any damage, missing items, or maintenance issues right away

3. Commercial / offices

- Often early morning or evening work
- Offices, clinics, retail spaces
- Common areas, washrooms, floors, garbage and recycling
- Discretion and professionalism around client property and information

4. Move-in / move-out deep cleans

- Heavier, longer, one-time jobs
- Inside appliances, cabinets, baseboards, windows, walls
- Property must be turnover-ready

What you are responsible for
- Arriving on time for every scheduled job
- Completing the full job checklist to K Cleaning's standard
- Bringing all your own supplies and equipment
- Communicating quickly if you are running late, sick, or cannot make a job
- Treating client homes and businesses with care and respect
- Handling keys, lockbox codes, and access instructions securely
- Reporting any damage, breakage, or problems immediately and honestly
- Submitting your invoice after completed jobs

Requirements — you must have all of these

Vehicle and travel

- Your own reliable vehicle
- Valid BC driver's licence
- Valid vehicle insurance (business use)
- Willing to travel across the Fraser Valley service area

Equipment and supplies





- All your own cleaning supplies, chemicals, cloths, and equipment
- Your own vacuum, mop, and buckets
- Supplies that are safe for the surfaces you are cleaning

Experience and character

- Proven cleaning experience (professional experience preferred)
- Works fully independently — no supervisor on site
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Honest and trustworthy in client homes and businesses
- Good enough English to follow instructions and communicate with the office
- Smartphone for schedule, photos, and communication
- Clean criminal record check may be requested for certain clients

What K Cleaning provides
- Your client schedule and job assignments
- Job address, access instructions, and specific client notes
- A clear checklist and standard for each type of clean
- Client communication — we deal with booking, complaints, and payment collection
- Prompt payment on your submitted hours

What K Cleaning does NOT provide
- Cleaning supplies or equipment
- A vehicle or mileage reimbursement
- WorkSafeBC coverage, liability insurance, or vehicle insurance
- Employment advantages, vacation pay, sick pay, or EI/CPP contributions
- Tools, uniforms, or training beyond the job checklist

Pay
- $23.50 – $27.50 per hour, depending on experience and job type
- Starting rate is set before your first job and reviewed after your first 30 days
- Move-in/move-out deep cleans and commercial contracts sit at the top of the range
- Each job has an expected time window. If a job consistently runs long, we review it together
- You submit your hours and invoice; payment is issued on a bi-weekly cycle
- You are responsible for your own income tax, CPP, and GST remittance
