Vancouver TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre is an airway focused dental practice dedicated to TMJ (jaw pain/disorder) treatment and dental sleep medicine, helping patients find lasting relief from chronic pain and sleep-disordered breathing. We're growing, and we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to work chairside with our doctor and help deliver an outstanding patient experience.
This is a great prospect to build expertise in a niche, in-demand field of dentistry, with hands-on training and real room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor chairside during patient exams, consultations, and appliance fittings/adjustments
- Take impressions, scans, and diagnostic records (e.g., bite registrations, photos)
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Educate patients on appliance care, home instructions, and recommendations
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and assist with case documentation
- Order and manage clinical supplies and inventory
- Manage lab cases
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (DA) or Medical Assistant (MA) preferred but not required, we're happy to train the right candidate
- Comfortable working chairside and handling dental/medical instruments
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Warm, patient-centered communication style
- Reliable, punctual, and a great teammate
- Prior experience in a dental, orthodontic, sleep medicine, or medical office is a plus, but not essential
