Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream and toppings
- Operate POS systems, to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare ice cream cones, sundaes, and other frozen treats following established recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and display cases in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash handling duties with precision, including cash register operation and change distribution
- Upsell additional toppings or products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Monitor inventory levels of ice cream flavors, toppings, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure product availability
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that encourages repeat visits
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures within the food industry
