Fredericton Contractors is looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Installer to join our team.

We are looking for someone with experience installing and servicing commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in doing quality work.

Don't have a lot of direct door and hardware experience? While previous experience is an asset, it is not necessarily required. If you are mechanically inclined, have a strong construction background, and feel this is a role you would be well suited for, we would still like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

- Install hollow metal doors, wood doors, and pressed steel frames.
- Install architectural door hardware, including, but not limited to:
- Hinges and strikes
- Locksets, passage sets and deadbolts
- Panic/exit devices
- Push/pull hardware and other handles
- Closers, door viewers, Door stops, kickplates and holders
- Weatherstripping and thresholds
- Adjust, troubleshoot, and repair doors and hardware
- Read door schedules, and hardware schedules
- Coordinate installation with other trades and supervisors
- Ensure doors and hardware are properly aligned, adjusted, and operating as intended
- Complete deficiency and service work as required
- Perform other duties as needed

What We’re Looking for

- Previous commercial door and hardware installation experience is preferred, but not required
- Commercial carpentry or other relevant construction experience will be considered
- Certificate of qualification, red seal, or completed apprenticeship block training will also be considered
- Experience reading drawings and door / hardware schedules is an asset
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills




- Able to work independently and manage installation work efficiently
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and safety-conscious
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
