M’Chigeeng First Nation is hiring a Community Engagement Worker committed to child well-being and community care initiatives. This full-time role focuses on engagement rooted in Anishinaabe traditions and values. As the Community Engagement Worker, you will oversee community engagement efforts vital for developing the Child Well-Being Law.
This entails coordinating planning sessions and gathering insights from community voices, ensuring that the engagement processes are culturally safe. Your work will directly influence the success of Year 1 priorities in cultivating a supportive environment for families and youth. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Year 1 Community Engagement strategy
- Facilitate interactions among community members and stakeholders
- Document community insights, themes,
and service gaps
- Support project coordination with internal teams
- Create clear reporting materials for leadership Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in relevant fields with 3-5 years of experience
- Strong understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions
- Proficient in communication tools and data management
- Excellent organizational and facilitation abilities
- Valid driver’s license and explicit background check Make a difference in child welfare and enhance community relationships with your engagement skills and cultural knowledge.
