About The Role
The Content Strategist is a crucial client-facing role responsible for day‑to‑day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. The strategist primarily works with enterprise clients and must understand how the service line impacts other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy. Internally, the role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Excellence and Best Practices
- Develop and implement custom strategies for clients that achieve our NSMs, building on initial client strategy and continuously optimizing based on overall marketing goals and historical performance.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director (AsD) when roadblocks arise to achieve goal attainment.
- Create creative briefs and compelling content campaigns with a focus on ideation grounded in competitor and audience insights.
- Apply best practices such as LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production to inform strategies.
- Goal Setting
- Use data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush,
and Ahrefs to set client goals reviewed and approved by the AsD.
- Project Management
- Ensure the planned strategy is executed, leveraging Asana for task assignment, delegation, and tracking, and coordinating with Project Managers where present.
- Partner with content writers and designers to deliver on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Internal and External Communication
- Build relationships with clients beyond deliverables, maintaining regular communication via Slack and bi‑weekly meetings.
- Report on timeline expectations, goal progress, roadblocks, opportunities for account growth, and any changes in strategy or contact.
- Reporting
- Bi‑weekly client meetings to report on NSM progress and ongoing deliverables.
- Monthly and quarterly reports.
- Bi‑annual business review presentations.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven track record in SEO principles and content strategy, including keyword research, on‑page optimization, and link building.
- Analytical insight and ability to analyse website traffic and SEO metrics using Google Analytics.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
- Organisational, project, and time management skills.
- Passion for digital marketing, SEO, and content.
- Agency experience,
specifically in B2B tech or SaaS.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, learning how AI and automation can enhance marketing and operations.
