The successful candidate for this role will be an energetic, empathetic, and student focused instructor with a demonstrated commitment to motivating learners and supporting academic achievement. They will bring strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with proven experience delivering adult education in a postsecondary or skills-based learning environment.

Proficiency with a variety of computer programs and systems, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, is essential. The successful candidate will also possess solid and relevant industry experience and will be committed to championing student success through academic excellence. assessment, evaluation, and maintenance of student progress and academic records; and active participation in student support services and program operational activities. Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials Provide ongoing coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention and respond to student issues Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities Prepare and present lessons, lectures and demonstrations to apprenticeship students in all Ironworker streams, including Structural,



Reinforcing Steel or Metal Building Systems Erection.

Robust desire to help students succeed Strong technical trade and construction knowledge Strong general computer skills and experience with MS Office applications required Experience with learning management systems is an asset High School Diploma Ironworker – Metal Building Erector Journeyperson Certificate Completion of Alberta Ironworker – Reinforcing Certificate an asset Provincial equivalent required including Inter-Provincial Red Seal an asset Teaching experience an asset Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES). This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement.
