The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will support projects across the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Prepare technical documentation and engineering deliverables in collaboration with the Control, Automation & Electrical Lead Engineer. Coordinate and manage engineering work packages to ensure alignment with project plans, procedures, and milestones. Review shop drawings and technical documents for compliance with engineering designs and specifications.
Monitor fabrication and construction activities to verify adherence to approved designs and contract requirements.
Witness Factory Acceptance
Tests (FAT) and implement corrective actions to address issues and deficiencies. Conduct quality reviews, support audit findings, and ensure compliance with project procedures, QA plans, and interdisciplinary coordination requirements.
Develop Functional Control
Specifications, perform control system programming, and provide regular engineering progress updates and reports. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineer (P.12+ years of project engineering experience ~ Strong background in electrical engineering and design within large, multidisciplinary engineering or consulting environments. ~ Hands-on site experience with the ability to work independently, solve problems, and thrive in fast-paced project settings. ~ Knowledge of PLC/DCS programming ~ Knowledge of 3D data-centric design systems, including SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Instrumentation, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. ~ Proven leadership abilities, including task delegation, team supervision, and mentoring of technical staff. ~ Solid communication, organizational, and planning skills, coupled with safety awareness and a willingness to travel (~10%)
