Sauters Inn Restaurant is looking to hire a Short-order cook/ breakfast cook/kitchen helper to help prepare food accordingly and kitchen cleaning (ex. Dishwashing, sweeping, disinfecting, etc.) German/Hungarian style food but very easy to pick up cooking style (ex. do not necessarily need to know how to cook German/Hungarian previously, very easy to pick up with proper training, which will be provided)

Responsibilities

- Ensure the quality of food is prepared accordingly and reaches standard each and every time
- Making sure work area, utensils and equipment are clean and sanitized

- Restock or store items
- Perform all opening/closing cleaning tasks as instructed
- Following all Health and Safety policies and procedures while at work
- Following safe food handling procedures at all times
- Familiar with cooking breakfast style meals
- Cleaning plates, pots, cutlery’s etc.




- Sweeping and moping and the end of the closing shift

- Taking our garbage/ recycling

Job Requirements

- Has previous experience in cooking and handling food in a dining restaurant
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Positive attitude and willing to learn certain cooking styles
- Able to work versatile shifts
- Able to work under pressure and manage high volume of stress
- Excellent at working alone or with other team members

- Punctuality

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Experience

- Culinary: 2 years (preferred)
- cooking: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
