In this full-time temporary position within the Dean of Engineering Office, you will support first-year operations by tutoring in subjects including algebra, calculus, and electromagnetics.
Responsibilities include hiring and mentoring First-Year Tutors, grading student work, and organizing help sessions to ensure students receive the necessary support. Engage in a welcoming environment that promotes equity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and support during labs
- Manage scheduling and evaluate First-Year Tutors
- Develop marking schemes for assignments and exams
- Organize help sessions for improved student learning
- Proctor exams and maintain records of grades Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Some teaching experience is an asset
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Solid background in engineering subjects
