Help Wanted: Full-Time order packager

Location: Aly Mae’s Bread Basket – Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Aly Mae’s Bread Basket is a locally owned wholesale and retail bakery specializing in handcrafted breads, pastries, and baked goods made with care and quality ingredients. We are seeking a full time order packer/counter person to join our dedicated team. This role offers an chance to contribute to a growing small business with a strong focus on freshness, consistency, and community.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, a range of products for both retail and wholesale customers.
- Maintain consistent product quality, appearance, and freshness.
- Ensure all baking and prep areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Assist with ingredient preparation, inventory management, and production scheduling.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production goals.
- Packaging and Labeling: Manually cut and pack finished goods into bags, boxes, or other containers,



and label them with customer information, dates, product information, and weight.
- Quality Control: Inspect products and packaging for defects, damage, or contamination, removing any unacceptable items.
- Order Fulfillment: Assemble customer orders accurately based on invoices or order sheets, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Inventory Management: Take inventory of finished products and packaging materials, reporting stock levels to team leads or management.

Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with early morning and weekend shifts.
- Enthusiasm for artisan baking and local food.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $17.00 per hour
