Join Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency Inc. as a culturally responsive Care Worker in Prince Albert. This role assists Indigenous youth aged 18-26 transitioning from care with a strong focus on their well-being. As a Post Majority Care Worker, you will ensure that young adults receive appropriate support from a legal and cultural standpoint.
The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience and 1-2 years of related service with children, specifically focusing on Indigenous communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate care and support services for youth aging out
- Ensure culturally appropriate well-being practices for First Nations youth
- Maintain compliance with the Child Youth and Family Services Act
- Collaborate effectively with community resources and stakeholders
- Provide comprehensive case management for individuals in transition Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or relevant field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working directly with children
- Robust understanding of Indigenous community needs
- Familiarity with industry legislation and child welfare customs
