Senior AI Engineer – Databricks GenAI & AI/BI

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks, Generative AI, LLMs, Genie, and AI/BI to design and build intelligent, conversational, and analytical solutions on the Databricks platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Databricks Genie / Genie Spaces for enterprise business use cases.
- Build and optimize Genie instructions, semantic definitions, trusted assets, example SQL, and business context.
- Develop Genie Skills and Genie Code for advanced and reusable analytical use cases.
- Build AI/BI dashboards, analytical applications, and conversational analytics.
- Develop LLM-powered solutions using prompt engineering, RAG, Foundation Models, AI Functions, and Model Serving where applicable.
- Design and implement AI agents and intelligent assistants for business use cases.
- Evaluate and optimize AI/LLM responses for accuracy, relevance, reliability, and business usability.
- Translate business requirements into AI/GenAI solutions, KPIs, metrics, and analytical logic.




- Develop POCs, reusable accelerators, and production-ready AI solutions using Databricks.
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.

Required Skills

- 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, Data Science, or related fields.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Robust knowledge of Databricks Genie / AI/BI.
- Experience with Genie Skills, Genie Code, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agents.
- Strong Python and SQL skills; PySpark knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with RAG, LLM application development, and AI solution design.
- Understanding of analytical models, KPIs, metrics, and business logic.
- Strong problem-solving, solution-design, and stakeholder communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Vector Search, MLflow, Model Serving, Foundation Models, and AI Functions.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, and responsible AI.
- Databricks GenAI / AI / ML certifications.
- Experience building enterprise AI assistants or conversational analytics solutions.
