Persons working or residing in Jasper, Alberta or within a 40 km radius of Jasper, Alberta.

Intent of the process The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis in Jasper, Alberta, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Conditions of employment

RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.

The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Operational Requirements

Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft)Willingness and ability to work overtime,



as required.

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following

- Successful completion of two years secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
- Proof of education will be required prior to appointment. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. See Degree equivalency link below.
- Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public.
- Experience providing administrative support services.
- Administrative support services can include: procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, processing and preparing correspondence, receiving calls, welcoming visitors, etc.
- Experience inputting or manipulating data from an electronic database

Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Experience providing financial support services
- Financial support services can include: receiving and recording monies received and handling petty cash.
- Experience in providing records management services such as indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data.
- Experience working in a law enforcement and/or legal environment.
